Rachel Hopkins Reporting for Heritage Christian School Visual Art ClassDuring the Easter holidays some students from our school entered the Port Macquarie Art Society’s 36th annual Easter art competition. Bek Day, Emily Druery, Emily Dafter and Georgia Wilberforce each entered some of their photographs into different section of the competition. On the 13th of April artists from all over the Hastings area displayed their work. The competition was judged and the awards given out to the winners. In the Junior Photography section Emily Druery placed 3rd with her photo ‘fogged sunrise’, earning herself a $50 gift voucher for Hydro Photographics. Emily Dafter placed 2nd in the same section with her photo ‘lily’, earning a $100 gift voucher. The winner of the section was Georgia Wilberforce with her photo ‘looking up’. She won a $150 gift voucher for Hydro Photographics. Heritage Christian School would like to congratulate these girls on their achievement with hopes of seeing more creative works in the future.
